Revolutionizing the
Frac Sand Supply Chain
The Permian is unique in that it not only is the most prolific oilfield in the country, but it also has sand scattered throughout the basin. Rather than forcing operators to get their sand from a fixed location that can be up to 100 miles away, we bring the plant to the ideal location for our customers.

Changing the way
Operators think about sand
Traditionally sand is mined, processed, and dried at a fixed location that is ideal for the sand company, not their customers. At Nomad, we work with our customers to identify the best location for their work. Additionally, we forgo the drying process that adds unnecessary cost and energy use.

What We Do
Put simply, we make the frac sand supply chain simple. By placing our plant near our customers' work and forgoing the energy intensive drying process, we provide a more efficient, lower delivered cost, safer, and more environmentally friendly frac sand solution.
Typically, sand is mined, washed, dried, and sized at a fixed location and then trucked to the wellsite. In the Permian, most operators are forced to truck their sand from plants 50-100 miles away from their work. On top of that, they usually are driving past sand on the way! Our plant is designed from the ground up to take advantage of the sand closer to the activity. We do this by being mobile and eliminating the drying process. Instead, we allow the sand to dewater naturally to about 5% before we load it into a truck.
Mobile
Our mobile mine can be placed at the closest sand deposit to the customer’s work to maximize efficiencies and savings.
01.
Damp
We do not dry the sand, instead we let it dewater naturally to about 5% moisture by volume.
02.
Differentiated
First and only mobile plant to offer two grades and have a capacity of over 2 million tons a year.
03.
We are a more cost efficient, safer, and more environmentally friendly solution to operators’ frac sand supply chains.
Our Story
Who We Are
Nomad was founded on the idea that bigger isn’t always better. If sand is available next to your well, why are you paying to truck the same material from up to 100 miles away? Why not make a mobile plant that can move to where the work is? At Nomad, that’s exactly what we do.

The Nomad Proppant Advantage
What Makes Us Different
At Nomad our mission is to bring additional value to our customers by providing a low cost, high quality proppant from a deposit near the well site. With our patent pending plant design we can reduce sand hauling in the Permian by upwards of 90%.
ESG
We can’t ignore it anymore. ESG matters if we want to continue to be successful as an industry and attract young talent. The reduction in sand hauling makes roads safer and lowers the carbon footprint of each well.
Logistics
Reducing the distance to the well creates a more efficient supply chain. A job today requires over 20 trucks to keep up with demand while a job with Nomad will only require ~5 trucks. Reducing the distance from the mine to the well by just 50 miles will eliminate 2 million road miles annually for a frac crew.
Sand
Why dry sand when it goes downhole in a slurry? In the past, we did this because sand had to be trucked 50-100 miles and no one wanted to pay to haul the excess water. At Nomad, our mobile plant allows us to produce sand next to the wellsite. Finding the closest location to the work reduces miles trucked by over 90%. So, we ask the simple question again. If sand doesn’t need to be trucked a long distance, or even at all, why dry it?
